The New Normal?

29 Jan

Sorry for going dark there and thank you to those who sent notes asking what was up – it’s still strange to realize there are people out in cyberspace who actually care about me 🙂

I had wanted to go to M’s house yesterday (I’m losing track of the days of the week) to pick up some things while he was out showing a boat. He did not end up leaving the house, though – the buyers came to him so I spent the day being vaguely irritated and puttering around Towanda.

Took the toilet apart and replaced the seals and valve. The nuts that hold the unit to the floor are rusted on so it will all have to come apart at a future date to replace the floor seal. It was no big deal to take apart, not Rocket Science at all, just awkward working in such a small space.

Awana came over to steal some interwebs from the neighbor and when she was done it was only 7:30 PM so we decided on a whim to go out to eat some Mexican food. I can’t tell you how awesome that was! M was never spontaneous, would never have gone out for food that late and would have groused about the cost thru the entire meal.

It was fab! Awana and I have vowed do something spontaneous as often as we can and laugh all the way there and back again!

Life is good and the Good is starting to feel Normal.

I am glad that you are well and so happy that you are finding your new normal so effortlessly 🙂 I thought of you as I wrote my newest poem today.

I’m glad you got a spontaneous adventure. There are many more in your oh-so-free future.
How awesome are you for fixing your toilet! It’s may have been uncomfortable in the small space, but it was free of criticism. Yeah for you!

LOL! Yes, physically uncomfortable (if a woman had designed the toilet closet you can bet it would have been easier to get to!) but not emotionally uncomfortable and that means everything 🙂

Damn straight, I do! We all do! And if we can’t find happiness where we are, we all deserve the chance to step out on our own and search for Happiness.

    Normal is great.
And working on the toilet, you have the pride of fixing your own personal home!

WEll, due to the coordinating snafu, Sophia’s chicken dish did not materialize, so I thought she should have some food–a little problem there, and it has been admitted. I, personally, never let anything get in the way of a tasy morsel, so being alone allows me that perk, and the money to pay for it!!!! And, until she gets itchy feet, I have a buddy to eat with at strange hours! Now, about that hideously dysfunctional job…..
